Since 1950, Modern Pharmacy has been the place residents of Cheboygan, Michigan can depend on to keep their entire family healthy, right down to the family pet. By providing services customized to meet each customer's needs. the pharmacy operates based on the idea that wellness cannot be treated with a one size fits all approach.

Their staff made up of two pharmacists and seven pharmacy techs works hard to make sure that every patient is treated like family. The staff members at Modern Pharmacy pride themselves on providing community members with the services they need to live a healthy lifestyle. The pharmacy puts patients first with services like non-sterile compounding, free in-town delivery, free medication adherence packaging, curbside service, and one-on-one consultations.

Making a Community Impact

In addition to providing essential services, Modern Pharmacy also takes care of its community outside the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff participates in Relay for Life, Kiwanis, and sponsors little league and football teams. The team at Modern Pharmacy knows that being a hometown pharmacy goes beyond providing essential pharmacy services; it also means supporting the causes important to the people of Cheboygan!

Providing Personalized Care With FLAVORx

As part of their commitment to providing each patient with the individualized care their need, Modern Pharmacy offers medication flavoring to all patients free of charge, a service most commonly used by children and hospice patients. A FLAVORx customer since 2006, the pharmacy has been using the program to help children take their medicine for 15 years. Adding a little flavor surely goes a long way for these patients who need it to help take their medicine. Modern Pharmacy's commitment to customer care shows in their many 5-star reviews. One customer, Roxanna T. shared, "Best customer service, fast and friendly. We love going to see Carl. And he flavored the kids' medicines for us." 

Caring for Man's Best Friend

People aren't the only ones who struggle to take bad-tasting medicine; pets of all shapes and sizes often refuse their medicine, creating stress for pet owners. Modern Pharmacy provides customers with the option to compound their pets' prescriptions into easier-to-administer forms like flavored liquids and topical gels. With tasty flavors like Chicken Pot Pie and Crispy Bacon, the pharmacy can make it much easier for pet owners to give pets their essential medications.
