Together We Can Increase Compliance and Improve Patient Health

In April, we had a wonderful experience attending the 34th Annual NAPNAP Conference on Pediatric Health Care in Orlando. We came away from the event very excited about our new and emerging partnerships with nurse practitioners from around the country. We had been looking for just the right audience of health professionals that were interested in increasing medicinal compliance within the pediatric population and I believe we found them! Our mission at FLAVORx is to help kids take their medicine, whether it be liquids or pills, so they can feel better and get better. Pediatric nurse practitioners seem to share the same mission. They play such an important role in managing children’s health, we could think of no better audience to supply with materials to help make a positive impact on compliance and the medication-time experience.

So we developed a Nurse Practitioner Compliance Kit that we have been sending out to nurse who express an interest in partnering with us. We include many wonderful tools in the kit to help nurse practitioners engage children and parents in the medication discussion, emphasize the impact of taste on compliance, and offer a solution to the medication time struggle. We have already received some extremely favorable feedback and are hoping to reach more and more nurse practitioners as the word spreads within the professional community. If you are a pediatric nurse practitioner and would like a compliance kit, please order one today by filling out the form HERE!

We believe that by introducing the concept of flavoring to young patients and their parents, not only do you empower children with a choice, but you help parents avoid the frequent struggles associated with medicating their kids. Medication time does not have to be a struggle! Flavoring to improve palatability also allows nurse practitioners to use evidence-based medicine to select drug therapy that is most effective regardless of the medication’s taste profile. Selecting the optimal medication for a patient and recommending that the medicine be flavored to suit an individual child’s preference, helps ensure that the child takes the medication properly and completely.

WE ALL KNOW THAT MEDICINE DOESN’T WORK UNLESS THE PATIENT TAKES IT. FLAVORX CAN HELP AND SO CAN NURSE PRACTITIONERS!
